iVangeli is a Zulu and Xhosa word meaning “Gospel”

iVangeli is published by iVangeli Curriculum which is a non – denominational, non – profit organisation.

  • Primary (Grades 1 – 3, Ages 7 – 9)

  • Senior (Grades 7 – 9, Ages 13 – 15)

No. Every three years the cycle will be repeated, so once a church has bought the full cycle, they can reuse them as they wish.

No. A child spends three years in one age group, for e.g. Primary. When the child moves up to Grade 4, they move up to the Junior age group. Therefore the Primary age group can start the cycle again.

  • With four age groups each following a three year cycle, it means that there are 12 year’s worth of lessons.
  • A child will go through the important stories and themes of the Bible four times by the time they leave Grade 9.

No. We believe that children of different ages have different needs and abilities, and therefore need to be met at their level. While somes age groups may follow similar themes, the lessons are not based on the same text.

No. This is not reproducible. You must buy one book per teacher.

Currently all the Teacher Guides are available in English. Selected Teacher Guides are available in Afrikaans. The Student Activity Pages are available in English, Afrikaans, Zulu and Xhosa. Please email us on admin@ivangeli.org to enquire about what’s available.
