ReFRESH 2020 was super awesome. There were 220 delegates from Southern Africa. We had 13 speakers with over 100 years ministry experience among them.
An interesting statistic was “ about 45% of the delegates had never attended any workshop or conference for Children and Youth ministry before! It was an exciting experience!
We had children from New Covenant Church, Bryanston lead us in an astounding and energetic praise and worship session with a super cool flash mob! This was followed by a beautiful opening charge led by Revd Colette & Wayne Saldanha on “Growth in Christ”. Then Dr John Mphaphuli gave an astounding keynote note address on: “Challenges of multi-culturism in children and youth ministry in South Africa”. Our break away sessions were facilitated by Liana Da Fonseca, Piet Trichardt, Adrian Trapani, Mwewa Kanyanga, Darren Mortimer, Nicole Young, Hayley Walker, Mo Tshuli and Bolanle Enang. After lunch, we had a super time at the Box-It-Time where questions and answers were taken. Yvonne May led us in a powerful praise and worship session accompanied by Dayo Eseyin. The conference ended with a closing charge by Bolanle Enang which is titled “Scars in Service”. The conference ended in ministrations and prayers for each other.
Everyone left with a deep sense of God’s presence and refreshing by the Holy Spirit

What People Say
“One of the best pieces of advice any one gave me as I walked green-eyed into my role as children’s pastor of St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Sunninghill was to attend the CMCSA. Craig Rens introduced me to Mandie Agrella who then introduced me both to this conference and iVangeli Curriculum.
That’s one of the most divine moments of my life.
IT’S THE UNIVERSITY for children’s ministry in Africa! You have to attend it to feel it. This one day event is EPIC…!
Everything, I mean everything changed for me that day. I walked into the conference that March morning in 2010 and my life transformed. CMCSA is such a power packed, energizing, almost surreal experience. I have both attended and spoken at this conference and it is mind blowing! Lisa Ekman is truly led by the Lord to bring the most resourceful local and international speakers to equip us annually as Sunday school teachers.
It is greater value than we pay for. Great breakaway sessions, AMAZING general sessions, networking opportunities. It is also the perfect shopping spot for materials for your children’s church: curriculum, children’s bibles, music, games…etc
Book yourself in every first or second weekend in March.”
